Sesuvium portulacastrum or Shoreline seapurslane is a sprawling perennial herb that grows in coastal areas throughout much of the world. It is commonly known as shoreline purslane. Up to 30 centimeters (12 in) high, with thick, smooth stems up to 1 meter (3.3 ft) long. It has smooth, fleshy, glossy green leaves that are linear or lanceolate, from 10–70 millimeters (0.39–2.76 in) long and 2–15 millimeters (0.079–0.591 in) wide. Flowers are pink or purple.
